The first Ranch Challenge at the Williams Lake Stampede happened in 1993 as a trial run. The fans loved it and they knew they had a hit. Today, the competition is invitational, open only to 12 teams of working cowboys from surrounding area ranches.

The Ranch Challenge Competition features teams of three riders that must compete in all four events that showcase the specific skills and knowledge required in their profession, including cattle penning, cowhand trailer race, trailer loading and ranch branding.

Congratulations to the 2015 Champions, the crew from the 141 Mile Ranch.
