Fort Walsh Historic Trades Day
Cypress Hills, south of Maple Creek, Sask.
Matthew McHugh is inviting everyone out to Fort Walsh for their Historic Trades Day, highlighting the colour, pageantry, tragedy and real history that changed the course of Canada.
Here is a brief rundown of the schedule:
July 10:
10 am – site opens (Historic Trades Demonstrations All Day – Blacksmith, Gunsmith, Wheelwright, Farrier, Wagon Rides, Art Exhibition)
11 am – Historic Weapons and Cannon Demonstration
11:30 – Fort Walsh Tour (Kids Programming)
12:30 – Cypress Hills Massacre Site Tour
1:30 – Metis Dancers
2 pm – Historic Weapons Demonstration
2:30 – Fort Walsh Tour (Kids Programming)
3:30pm – Metis Dancers
4 pm – Historic Weapons and Cannon Demonstration
4:30 – Fort Walsh Tour (kids programming)
Cypress Hills Massacre Tour
5:30pm – Site Closes
