Congratulations to Ruth Ratcliffe (Fowler) on winning a National Coaching award in the Western Level II category.
Ruth, a certified Level II Western Coach in all disciplines, is also an Equine Canada (EC) certified Senior Judge, an EC certified English Instructor, the Master Evaluator for Alberta and B.C., and a National Certified Coaching Program Level II Coach. She is also the only certified Drill Team Judge in Canada. Ruth is the author of the book Ride the Stride; an In-depth Study for “The Training of Musical Rides”. Ruth and her herd of horses live near Endiang, Alta., where she also has a coffee shop, Ruthie’s Roost.
The National Coaching awards were presented to coaches and instructors who exemplify the National Coaching Certification Program, and set an example promoting rider education through the national Learn to Ride and Learn to Drive programs.
The 2013 ProChaps/NCCP National Coaching Awards were presented at the Equine Canada Annual Awards Gala held on Feb.7 in Winnipeg, Man.
