Odysseo, the new extravaganza from the creators of Cavalia, features 67 horses (including 23 stallions) and 52 artists to lead the audience “on a great journey in yet another world — a world of dreams — where, together, they discover some of the planet’s most unforgettable landscapes.”
If you’ve experienced the original Cavalia then for sure you will be lining up to see the new show, playing in Alberta from April 23 – June 1 in Calgary, and July 9 – 20 in Edmonton. If you’ve never seen a Cavalia performance, now’s your chance to experience the spectacular show!
Cavalia marries the equestrian arts, stage arts and high-tech theatrical effects at never-before-seen levels. A veritable revolution in live performance, Odysseo comprises a list of superlatives: the world’s largest touring big top, the biggest stage, the most beautiful visual effects, and the greatest number of horses at liberty.
The entire show takes place in the White Big Top Tent: it’s the size of two NFL football fields featuring a 1,626 square-metre stage — larger than a hockey rink — and the 15-metre wide backstage area offer a vast playground for more than 30 cantering horses.
Odysseo will be performed in Calgary April 23 – June 1, and then in Edmonton from July 9 – 20.
