Creasy is joined by barrel racers Rylee McKenzie and saddle bronc riders Luke Butterfield and Tyrell Larsen in the opening series. (Ty Pozzobon is also competing in Rodeo Houston and begins competition tonight as well in the opening series)

Steer wrestlers Cody Cassidy (Curtis? – I think one of these is a mistake) and Todd Maughan and team ropers Marty Becker are in the second series, while bareback riders Dusty LaValley and Jake Vold, along with bulldoggers Cody Cassidy and Straws Milan compete in Series III.

Canadian champion bull rider Chad Besplug and team ropers Levi Simpson and Tyrel Flewelling are in Series IV.

Best of luck to everyone going to Houston! Here’s a good question:

When was the last time a Canadian won the top prize in Houston?

On that same note of the big money there is to be won in Houston it made me think this was a great opportunity to ask all of you what your thoughts on the future of rodeo is.

This article came up today as well with this being only the second year that Houston has been a stand alone event similar to the Calgary Stampede. It talks a lot about all of the things we may see happen in the future and how the contestants like the format.

If you are interested in it, take a look. Let me know what you think. It’s sure something I am interested in.
