Mike Puhallo Fundraiser
The BC Cowboy Heritage Society has created an online fundraiser for Mike Puhallo of Kamloops, B.C.
Mike has been the long-time president of the B.C. Cowboy Heritage Society, (BCCHS) – the powers behind the mega-successful annual Kamloops Cowboy Poetry Festival held each March.
The multi-award-winning cowboy poet, writer and tireless promoter of the Festival, has set out on a long trail of treatment to battle his recent cancer diagnosis.
At the recent 2011 Cowboy Festival in Kamloops, an impromptu fundraiser began and festival goers generously contributed to Mike and his family to help offset the high expenses involving treatment; including drugs, travel, accommodation and loss of income for both Mike and his wife, Linda. The reaction was swift and generous and in response to numerous requests, the Society has launched an online fundraiser utilizing secure PayPal so Mike’s many fans and friends across the country can donate.
To contribute online, please visit www.bcchs.com. If you would like to send a cheque, the BCCHS has asked that the cheque be made out to BCCHS, and write ‘Mike Puhallo’ on the memo line. The cheque can be mailed to:
