Kenny Chesney Performing at 2011 Calgary Stampede
The poster boy for summertime entertainment, Kenny Chesney, is coming back to Calgary. After taking a year off the road, Chesney will play the Scotiabank Saddledome on Sunday, July 17, 2011 as part of one of Canada’s largest music festivals, the Calgary Stampede, July 8-17.
“We’re thrilled to have Kenny Chesney at the 2011 Stampede,” says Paul Rosenberg, vice-president of Stampede Programming. “Chesney is all about western celebration and summertime fun, and so are we. The Stampede prides itself on bringing the absolute best acts in the world to Calgary, and Kenny Chesney is arguably the greatest entertainer in country music right now, so it is only natural to have him at The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.”
Chesney’s newest album, “Hemmingway’s Whiskey,” debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart in September, and his hit new song “Boys of Fall” just became his 20th number one single. The “everyman” from Tennessee has sold more than 30 million albums and is one of music’s top ticket-seller this century. The eight-time entertainer of the year even has his own line of cowboy hats.
Tickets for Kenny Chesney go on sale Saturday, November 13, 2010 and are priced at $83.20, $104.20, $156.70 and $188.20 including GST and applicable ticket fees. Tickets would make a terrific Christmas gift and are available online at ticketmaster.ca or by calling Ticketmaster at 403.777.0000. Tickets include admission to Stampede Park on the day of the concert.
Kenny Chesney is presented in partnership with Country 105 and the Calgary Herald.
